Before our cruise in November 2008, this is one island we had never been before. Since our ship was in port only for the morning, we opted to go snorkeling on Klein Bonaire, a small uninhabited islet off the mainland only accessible by watertaxi.

St Thomas is on many cruise ship itineraries, so we have been there many many times. We have visited many beaches and now we almost always go snorkeling at Sapphire beach, which is quiet and has some decent fish population.
